Rehab counselors will work to recognize environmental factors in the client's life including negative people in their lives or other things that must be addressed in order for the individual to stay mentally healthy and abstinen t after they depart dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab which helps them develop far better coping mechanisms so they are able to better handle life circumstances more proficiently when they depart dual diagnosis rehab instead of turning to drugs as an inferior answer.
