A group home for a person who has tbeen involved with drug and alcohol abuse is a place which offers continuous support and help for folks in recovery. A group home is typically for troubled youth, but in addition there are group homes for those with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral difficulties for example. Instead of sending those who are struggling with substance abuse or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum or any other similar place, a group home may help provide an appropriate environment to help individuals maintain stability in their lives and have counsel and assistance at their fingertips around the clock.
