Medicaid is a form of medical insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance. Whether or not an individual qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only determined by income however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they make an acceptable income. By way of example, people who have many dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even when they earn what might be described as a reasonable income. Medicaid can also cover the costs of rehab, when someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and needs rehabilitation. There are several drug rehabilitation facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have different rules for what forms of treatment are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehab services for example while other states cover more intensive rehabilitation like a residential stay in long-term drug rehab facility. If someone is involved in drug use and needs help, they are able to use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have enough cash or some other form of health care insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they could find out if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehabilitation program that is approved within their state.
