Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older folks, as well as those that have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they will also have to see their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual needs to be in a hospital for their problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
