TRICARE is medical insurance that is provided to people in the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse inside the military is much more common than one would imagine, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is a vital priority. TRICARE covers many different rehabilitation services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence such as detox services, as well as rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. Those that have TRICARE will of course be required to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, which may be organized with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center will be the favored rehabilitation choice, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits concerning how much time a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which can be very beneficial, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors standing by to assist you today.
