A group home for someone who has tbeen involved with drug and alcohol abuse is a place which provides continuous support and assistance for people in recovery. A group home is typically for troubled adolescents, but there's also group homes for those with a mental health problem or who are experiencing behavioral difficulties for example. As opposed to sending people who are experiencing substance abuse or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum or other similar facility, a group home can help offer an appropriate environment to help individuals sustain stability in their lives and still have counsel and assistance within reach around the clock. People who reside in a group home might be getting involved in rehab services during residence, or might be taking actions to get their life set up outside the group home to enable them to at some point live independently outside the group home.
