Medicare is a sort of medical insurance created by the U.S. government for senior citizens, along with people with certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the person will need to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to see their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
