Sadly, the simple truth is that millions of people make the decision to drive a vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol or drugs. Doing this not only puts one's life at risk and puts passengers in danger too, but being caught driving while impaired (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI) will almost always bring about severe penalties including driver's license suspension or cancellation, monetary penalties and in many cases incarceration. Agreeing or obliging to take part in alcohol and drug rehab as a DUI/DWI Offender may not completely eradicate other effects from the crime, but could decrease the severity of such consequences to some great extent. Particularly if the individual willingly participates in alcohol and drug rehabilitation and is a first time offender. Studies show that a large percentage of people who do receive drug rehab because of a DUI/DWI offense stay out of the court system for similar charges in the future.
