Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for older persons, along with people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from your drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual has to be hospitalized because of their problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
