This doesn't often work in the treatment client's favor however, particularly for those clients who need to solve significant substance abuse problems. So while an outpatient rehab may seem like an opportune option, it isn't for everybody. Those who do choose an outpatient rehab will typically attend meetings and take part in therapy and treatment services on a part-time basis each day or several days weekly. This is often helpful for individuals who have recently completed an even more extensive inpatient or residential program as an effective aftercare or upkeep step, and someone with just a short history of drug use which is really a really small amount of clients. For a person with more severe drug abuse and dependency issues, inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab programs which provide rehabilitation on a long-term basis are going to be the more advantageous treatment choice.
