Medicare is a kind of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, along with people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin treatment, they may also have to see their physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for his or her problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
