Medicaid is a health care insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance coverage. Whether someone qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they make a good income. As an example, people who have quite a few dependents may qualify for Medicaid even if they make what would be described as a reasonable income. Medicaid could also cover the expenses of rehabilitation, if a person has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires rehabilitation. There are several alcohol and drug treatment facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have distinct rules for what forms of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehab services as an example while other states cover far more extensive treatment say for example a residential stay in long-term drug rehab center. If a person is involved with drug use and desires help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have the money or any other type of medical insurance to pay for rehab, they could see if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug and alcohol treatment program which is approved within their state.
