Medicare is a sort of health insurance created by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the person will need to acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be hospitalized for their problem, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
