Medicaid is a form of medical health insurance available for individuals who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government funded insurance coverage. Whether or not an individual is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and individuals shouldn't assume they don't qualify because they earn an acceptable income. There are several alcohol and drug treatment centers which accept Medicaid, but different states have distinct rules for what types of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services by way of example while other states cover more extensive rehab like a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug treatment center. If a person is involved with substance abuse and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to acquire this treatment.
