Self pay is sometimes the only option for those who need treatment inside a drug rehabilitation center for drug use but haven't any medical health insurance. It isn't uncommon for someone dependent on drugs or alcohol not to have private health insurance, as it can be hard to maintain a drug or alcohol habit going while still maintaining work.
