Medicare is a form of health care insurance designed by the government for older folks, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the person must obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve what sort of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for their problem, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
