So even though an outpatient rehab may seem like an opportune possibility, it isn't for everybody. Those that do decide on an outpatient rehab will typically take part in meetings and take part in counseling and rehab services part-time daily or a few days a week. This is very helpful for many who have just completed a far more extensive inpatient or residential program as a good aftercare or maintenance step, and for someone with just a short history of substance abuse which is really a very small number of clients. For a person with more significant drug abuse and dependency issues, inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab facilities which provide rehabilitation on a long-term basis are going to be the more advantageous treatment option.
