Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the government for older folks, along with people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the individual will need to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual must be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
