Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older folks, and also those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only real exception is, the person will have to receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be hospitalized for their issue, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
