Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, along with people who have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
