TRICARE is medical health insurance that is offered to people in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is more common than one would think, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to handle drug and alcohol dependence including detox services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will obviously be asked to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any sort of rehab service, which is often arranged using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility will be the preferred treatment choice, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in this program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits as to the length of time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very useful, as it may help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled treatment counselors standing by to help you today.
