Medicaid is a form of medical insurance available for those who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government funded insurance. Whether or not an individual is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they make a good income. As an example, individuals who have many dependents may be eligible for Medicaid regardless of whether they make an amount be described as a fair income. Medicaid may also cover the costs of rehabilitation, if a person has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires treatment. There are lots of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what kinds of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehab services for instance while other states cover more extensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term drug rehabilitation program. If a person is involved with drug use and wants help, they're able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have enough cash or another type of medical insurance to cover rehabilitation, they could see if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug treatment program which is approved inside their state.
