Offering gender-specific rehabilitation services has shown to be very useful in situations where traditional rehabilitation facilities have fallen short, such as dealing with situations in a women's life that are unique and painful. Such issues may have to do with sexual abuse, physical trauma, mental abuse, eating disorders, one's family members and motherhood, or other really serious issues that are particular to women.
