In the first place, detecting an alcohol and drug abuse problem among the hearing impaired is usually a challenge, as these individuals may make an attempt to hide their problem because of social stigmas attached to drug use. However, alcohol and drug rehab counselors who provide rehabilitation to hearing impaired individuals see the challenges these clients face.
