TRICARE is medical insurance which is offered to folks in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is a lot more common than one would assume, and the need to offer rehab to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers numerous rehab services to deal with drug and alcohol dependence including detoxification services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will naturally have to have a prior approval before partaking in any sort of rehab service, which is often organized with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility will be the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in this center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits regarding how much time a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very useful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors standing by to help today.
