Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the federal government for seniors, along with those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the person will have to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to see their medical doctor who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what sort of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
