Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, as well as those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the person will need to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehab, they may also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual has to be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
