Medicare is a kind of medical insurance created by the government for seniors, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the person must receive treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for his or her problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
