TRICARE is medical health insurance that's provided to folks in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is much more common than one would think, and the need to provide rehab to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence such as detox services, in addition to rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. Individuals with TRICARE will naturally need to obtain a prior authorization before partaking in any sort of rehabilitation service, which is often organized with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center is the preferred rehab option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in this particular program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits about just how long a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very beneficial, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors ready to help today.
