Medicare is a form of health insurance designed by the government for senior citizens, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will have to acquire treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehab, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual should be hospitalized for issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
