A group home for somebody who has been involved in drug and alcohol abuse is a facility which provides continuous support and help for those in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled youth, but there's also group homes for people with a mental health problem or who are experiencing behavioral trouble for example. A group home is certainly not a long-term or permanent answer, but it is a feasible short term option for those who are trying to get their lives back together.
