Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the federal government for seniors, in addition to people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The one catch is, the person will have to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they will also have to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual must be in a hospital for their problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
