Medicare is a form of health insurance created by the government for older folks, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the person must obtain treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they will also have to visit their physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual must be in a hospital for his or her problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
