Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the U.S. government for senior citizens, along with people who have specific disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start treatment, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
