A group home for a person who has tbeen involved with drug and alcohol abuse is a facility which offers continuous support and help for folks in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled adolescents, but in addition there are group homes for people with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral problems for example. Rather than sending individuals who are being affected by drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or any other similar place, a group home will help offer an appropriate environment to help maintain stability in their lives and have counsel and support at their fingertips 24/7. Residents in a group home might be taking part in rehab services during residence, or may be taking steps to get their life setup outside the group home to be able to at some point live on their own outside of the group home.
