Hearing impaired persons tend to have a heightened probability of substance abuse issues due to their impairment, and rehab services have to be available to them which cater to their circumstances. Having said that, drug and alcohol rehab counselors who provide rehabilitation to hearing impaired individuals understand the challenges these clients face. ASL rehab services are of course a must, as well as treatment services which address the particular challenges that hearing impaired individuals face.
