Medicare is a type of health care insurance created by the federal government for older persons, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they can also get to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve which kind of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for his or her problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
