Criminal justice client rehabs can be considered being a far better option than incarceration or significant fines for those who have already been convicted of any kind of drug or alcohol related crime. For instance, a person who has been found guilty of dui of drugs or alcohol may be eligible for rehabilitation services because of their problem rather than serving time in prison. The judge could even order that the individual receive treatment, either alone or along with other consequences. First-time offenders in particular will often be given the ability to pick a criminal justice client rehab as an alternative to other sentencing, and it is well-advised that they benefit from it when it is a possibility. The concept behind criminal justice client rehabs is that it is much more efficient and effective to invest commitment into rehab than punishment.
