Medicare is a type of health care insurance created by the U.S. government for seniors, and also those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they can also get to visit their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the doctor will typically approve what type of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual must be hospitalized for their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
