TRICARE is health care insurance that's offered to members of the military of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is much more common than one would think, and the need to offer rehab to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a number of treatment services to address drug and alcohol dependence such as detoxification services, as well as rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. Those that have TRICARE will naturally be required to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any kind of rehab service, that may be organized using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program will be the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits as to the length of time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which is often very beneficial, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors standing by to assist you today.
