TRICARE is health care insurance which is offered to people in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is much more common than one would imagine, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different rehabilitation services to handle drug and alcohol dependence such as detoxification services, as well as rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will of course have to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, which may be organized using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center is the favored treatment choice, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits concerning just how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which can be very beneficial, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled rehabilitation counselors standing by to help you today.
