Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the U.S. government for senior citizens, along with people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only exception is, the individual must obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they can also get to visit their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual has to be in a hospital for problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
