TRICARE is medical insurance that's provided to members of the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is much more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to provide rehabilitation to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to address alcohol and drug dependence including detoxification services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. Those that have TRICARE will obviously be asked to get a prior approval before taking part in any type of rehabilitation service, that may be organized with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility is the preferred rehabilitation choice, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits concerning the length of time a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very helpful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled treatment counselors ready to assist you today.
