Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, as well as those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they will also have to visit their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual must be hospitalized for problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
