Medicare is a kind of health care insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, and also people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the person will have to obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
