Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which deliver rehabilitation to handle both addiction and mental health concerns at the same time. Dual diagnosis is a very prevalent situation for individuals involved in drug abuse, as those that have mental health problems often self medicate with drugs and alcohol to to feel some type of temporary relief from their disorder. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab which helps them develop far better coping methods so that they are better able to handle life situations more proficiently after they depart dual diagnosis rehab instead of returning to drugs as a possible solution.
