TRICARE is health insurance that's offered to individuals in the military of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is much more common than one would think, and the necessity to provide rehabilitation to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehab services to handle alcohol and drug dependence such as detox services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. Those that have TRICARE will naturally have to obtain a prior authorization before partaking in any type of treatment service, that may be arranged using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program is the favored rehab option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in this particular facility per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits as to the length of time a TRICARE member can stay in the inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which can be very helpful, as it may help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert rehabilitation counselors standing by to assist you today.
