Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be hospitalized for issue, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
