Medicare is a type of health care insurance created by the government for older persons, along with individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
