Hearing impaired men and women generally have an elevated probability of drug abuse issues due to their impairment, and treatment services have to be at hand which serves their circumstances. In the first place, detecting an alcohol and drug abuse problem among the hearing impaired is often a challenge, as these individuals may try and hide their issue due to social stigmas attached to drug use. However, alcohol and drug rehab counselors who offer treatment to hearing impaired individuals comprehend the challenges these clients face.
